ArthursDay

At precisely 17:59 Irish-time on Thursday 26th September 2013 a toast will commence in cities across the world as glasses, mostly pint-sized, are raised to the memory of Arthur Guinness. He is the man who founded the Dublin brewery back in 1759 and of course the world famous dark brew in his name, Guinness.

Saint Lucia will not be left out of the global celebration and this year Guinness is toasting local consumers with a major “under the crown” promotion which runs this September until October 2013. The question Guinness is asking is “Are You Made Of More?” and, “are you ready to pack your bags and head off to Ireland?”

The “UTC” affords Guinness lovers and consumers chances to win some fantastic prizes and to be a part of Arthur Day celebrations in Ireland and here at home. By simply purchasing Guinness and checking under those crowns, lucky consumers can win instant prizes such as free Guinness, cash and merchandize. But wait, there are more amazing prizes! LED Smart TVs, Ipads, IPods, Mobile smart phones, Beats by Dr. Dre headphones can all be won.     Some winners will also have the opportunity to attend a grand Arthur Day concert, which will be staged here in Saint Lucia by Guinness at Fond D’or. This event will be headlined by a major Jamaican act which will be announced soon and the winners will be treated in grand VIP fashion.  To cap it all off however, two lucky winners will have a chance of winning the grand prize, which is an all expense paid trip to Guinness storehouse at St James gate Brewery in Dublin, Ireland. There, an incredible lineup of Irish and international music stars will be raising a glass to Guinness, joining more than 500 cities world wide in a celebration of music, the arts and life. The winners will get the opportunity to taste a variety of Guinness as well as soak in the rich history and culture of Dublin and the brewery itself.

The Guinness Brewery at St. James’s Gate in Dublin was established by Arthur Guinness in 1759. In 2009, the 250th birthday of Guinness, Arthur’s Day began and since then every year it has become a global phenomenon.

So be a part of it this year. Join in the celebration with the rest of the world and show that we are indeed made of more as we toast to the legend and the drink-Guinness- of course!
