Blackheart Football Kicks Off with LIME

As local football teams and fans prepare for another exciting, action-packed Blackheart Knockout Football Tournament, LIME has come on board once again to provide support to the competition.

Saint Lucia and the Caribbean’s leading telecommunications provider is a Platinum Sponsor of this year’s tournament, which brings together teams from around Saint Lucia for several weeks of thrilling matches. The competition starts off with a preliminary round-robin phase, followed by a series of knockout matches, with the top teams from each phase moving to the semi-finals and finals. Last year Gros Islet emerged the tournament champions.

LIME is providing the competition with financial support, along with mobile phones and mobile credit, WiFi connectivity at both the Beausejour Stadium and Soufriere Mini Stadium to help the organizers better coordinate the event, T-shirts, tents and assistance with promotion and advertising, all free of charge.

“We’re very excited about partnering with Blackheart Productions once again for Saint Lucia’s biggest and most spectacular football competition,” said LIME Saint Lucia Marketing and Corporate Communications Executive, Sharlene JnBaptiste. “LIME’s relationship with the tournament dates back to 2009 and we are delighted to further strengthen our support to help ensure that Saint Lucian football continues going forward, especially at the critical youth level.”

Managing Director of Blackheart Productions, David “Shakes” Christopher said, “We are thrilled that LIME has come on board to support the development of the tournament once again. Their contributions over the years have been quite considerable and for that we are very grateful. With LIME’s assistance, we can continue our mission of developing football at a national level in this country by ensuring that our local teams get all the training and support they need to establish their position among the top teams in the region.”

A LIME sales team will be on hand at the match venues to make it easier and more convenient for customers and football fans wishing to sign up for any of LIME’s services.
