Brothers charged for murder

Police are reporting that on Friday 22nd July a 15-year-old and his brother, 16 years old, both of Rock Hall, Castries, were charged for the murder of Nathan Jamal Joseph, age 15 of Soufriere, who was shot about 9:30pm on Friday July 15 at Wilton’s Yard popularly known as the Grave Yard, Castries.
Reports indicate that on the aforesaid day, Joseph got involved in an altercation with two young men over a playstation video game console, when he got shot by one of the young men. He was taken to the Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem which was performed on his body on July 20th and revealed death by haemorrhagic shock, secondary to a gunshot wound to the back. Both brothers appeared in court on Monday where the 16-year-old was remanded at the Bordelais Correctional Facility and his younger brother was remanded at the Boys Training Centre. The case was adjourned to July 28.
