With two Soufriere defenders in pursuit, a player with Courts Spartans makes his way up the field.

The 2007 losing semi finalist Courts Spartans and Behind the College All Stars, will meet in the final of the 2008 Blackheart Veterans Football Tournament.

Both teams registered contrasting semi final victories Sunday at the Mindoo Phillip Park in semi final action. In the first semi final, Behind the College All Stars won 4-3 on penalties over Gros Islet, after their match ended goalless at regulation time.

The second semi final saw Spartans getting past Soufriere 5-2. For Spartans, their goal scorers were Don “Strongman” James who scored in the eighth and 13th minute, Godfrey Alfred who also scored two with goals in the 47th and 63rd minutes while Peter “Carlisle” George converted in the 49th minute.

Daniel Herman and Valence “Balo” Lubrun with goals in the 40th and 50th minute converted for Soufriere.

A date for the third place play off and finals will be announced shortly by tournament organizers.
