My sincerest condolences to the families of those who perished in this tragic accident. Heart wrenching indeed.
WHY IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE SOME SORT OF TRAGEDY TO GET THINGS DONE?,DONT YOU THINK PROACTIVE ATTITUDE WILL SAVE LIVES INSTEAD OF REACTIVE.
Sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy and to the people of St Lucia. May God grant you strength during this difficult time.
RIP to the victims.
My heart grieves with you St. Lucia. I am in Canada and was so deeply moved when I heard this news. My sincerest and deepest condolences to every heavy heart in your nation, and may the peace of God see you through.
my deepest sympathy to the entire families and the nation.the lord gives and also takes our destiny is all written down we dont know when and how.it is such a tragedy,at this sad moment politics should not be mentioned, wheather kenny anthony or the queen were in power accidents are there to happen.let us all remember these ppl in our prayers at all times.may they rest in harmony.i hope our drivers out there take this as a serious lesson to to learned and an eye and mind opener…R.I.P.
Investigate speed, alcohol, texting.Sad, so sad.
Through this unfortunate tragedy My Fair Helen is in Mourning. To the bereaved families I pray that all will find refuge in the healing and consoling power of the Holy Spirit. My condolences to you and your loved ones. And to those who have passed I say;“death where is your victory, death where is your sting? “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” May you all rest in peace and see the glory of God. From what I can gather, while it is true that the road infrastructure and signage needs improvement, along with traffic laws, motor vehicle safety regulations and enforcement, driver education etc….St. Lucians on the whole must learn to accept more responsibilities in the safety and development of the country. In the words of John F. Kennedy in his inaugural address of January 20, 1961 he said “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”. St. Lucians unite, be part of the process and be the good Samaritan, show compassion to your fellow brothers and sisters, don’t look the other way, It’s everyone’s business. Government can do so much the…
Government can do so much the rest lies in your hands, let common sense prevail….
That being said, on the hills of the up-coming General Election, Political parties, politicians and campaigners please take heed. Exercise your God given sense of responsibility and constraint. Do not create or cause the divisiveness of the very fabric that you are to build. It is by your choosing that your platforms divide the country and families. Be all law abiding citizens guided by the fundamental life-giving spirituality and unite our Paradise Isle. Avoid the fundamental dis-ease, the unquenchable fire that renders us incapable and undesirable in this life. Instead, will the one thing we are all…
will the one thing we are all sent to do on this earth “to love one another”.
To the electorate I say love your fellow brothers and sisters. We can all disagree to agree but not to divide. Embrace one another no matter which colour that he or she wears. May the right hand of God strike at the heart and soul of my Fair Helen for a safe and fair election. God bless.
Slow down, slow down! I echo the sentiments of Jerry Johnson. Transport drivers carrying precious cargo travel with entirely too much speed, and this is a problem not just in St. Lucia, but all over the Caribbean. My most sincere condolances to the families. I buried a daughter in 2006 due to a car accident where again, too much speed was the cause. It breaks your heart to have to say goodbye to someone to love so dearly, too soon. I pray this motivates the transportation department to erect guard rails in such dangerous places on these windy, mountain roads.
Can someone give any explanation on this heinous creature that they found in St. Lucia ,like where exactly they found it and what exactly Is it, cause as a national of St.Lucia I’m a little concern.
my heartfelt condolences to my friends, we’re like family. It’s hard and difficult to take it all in when all those people are like family to me, we grew up together, went to school and played together. They are my closest neighbors I will miss their visits. May god strengthen everyone and keep you together. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
One person commented that the st Lucians think they are formula One drivers – so true and alot of the time under the influence of a whole leap of alcohol. Watching St Lucian men work out how to drive around roundabouts is another joke. Its about time the Government stop allowing Rodney bay area to develop way above everywhere else and fix up the roads like the locals have been crying out for years and years. Look now for the deaths of so many and the Government wants to give their sympathy. St Lucians needs to stop voting. My sympathy to all those who has suffered a loss.
This is devastating news…nothing of this magnitude has ever happened in Saint Lucia before and it left me in a state of shock and despair. I wonder how the families of those left behind are able to cope. It must be very painful and I hope, that in time they can find comfort knowing their loved ones have returned to their Creator.

I know this stretch of road, and with 15 people in the vehicle the driver should have been in second gear while descending towards the corner. Now brake failure has to be ruled out since there are no signs of breaking or defensive driving , in fact I would not be surprised if the driver had suffered a heart attack or fell asleep behind the wheel. This has to be the saddest day in Choiseul, so many young lives, very sad.
This is terrible. Condolences to the families. We need speed signs on the roads countrywide, especially in certain areas.
