“Excellence is a better teacher than mediocrity. The lessons of the ordinary are everywhere. Truly profound and original insights are to be found only in studying the exemplary,” Heineken brand manager Gaius Harry said on Wednesday, quoting American Scholar Warren Bennis. “I chose this quote to draw focus on two key words here ‘Excellence’ and ‘Original’, for it is on those two premises that Heineken’s successful and exemplary partnership with the Saint Lucia Tourist Board and the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival rests,” Harry went on to say.

The brand manager told Wednesday’s gathering that as the original sponsor of Saint Lucia Jazz, Heineken continued to foster a sense of originality and excellence in everything that they do when it comes to Saint Lucia Jazz, which itself is a product of excellence. “This year, our patrons, our ardent consumers and Heineken Beer lovers will once again share in the pride, joy and excitement which Heineken brings to the fore every year, for one of the best festivals in the world, the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival,” Harry said.

According to the brand manager ahead of the opening of the 2015 Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, Heineken is helping to create the buzz and excitement around the festival with fascinating promotions and giveaways at the trade level, at various bars across the island as well as via various radio and media promotions.

Besides the main-stage activities, Heineken is also throwing its support behind the Soufriere Jazz on May 1, Fond d’Or Jazz on May 2, Firegrill May 3-11 and Jazz on the Square May 6-8.

“Jazz on the Square is back, with presenting sponsors Heineken Beer working alongside the SLTB and Landmark Events. Jazz on the Square is an event that we are truly happy to see back on the agenda this year. This free event gives heart and soul to the festival, bringing together persons from all walks of life in the heart of the city, at the Derek Walcott Square,” Harry pointed out.

This year Heineken’s signature beer garden at Pigeon Island will be one with a difference. “As gold sponsor of the festival we will be teaming up with Landmark Events for the Jazz Gold Pass, the ultimate VIP experience at Pigeon Island,” the Heineken Brand manager said. However, Heineken
will be working with some of the vendors at Pigeon Island who will offer Heineken Jazz specials and Heineken draft in a relaxing atmosphere.

“The 2015 Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival promises yet again to be ten days of exhilarating fun, pulsating rhythms, a great culinary experience, warm friendly people, a captivating ambience and of course undoubtedly the best beer in the world, Heineken,” the Heineken manager beamed expressing his company’s immense satisfaction with the association with the SLTB for the festival yet again.
