Police Investigate Suspected Suicide

Police investigations are continuing into the suspected suicide of Valentine Moise also known as Mubarak.

Reports indicate that around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 the well-known musician and barber was discovered by his girlfriend suspended by the neck under her house at Morne Serpent, Gros Islet.

The police responded to the incident at 7:40 p.m. and processed the scene. There were no marks of violence on the body of the deceased. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the morgue.

Mubarak, who worked as a barber in the city for many years, several years ago jumped into the soca arena and had participated in several of the competitions during carnival.
