Police investigating Grave Yard shooting

On Monday evening police officers patrolled the city vigorously. With guns at their side they went up and down Jeremie Street and Chausee Road. The heavy police presence was a reminder that crime is still very much a serious issue in St Lucia. The police had increased their patrols following a shooting that left a young woman dead.
Police reports are that on Friday August 26, about 7:30pm, a shooting which occurred at Wilton’s Yard, popularly known as the “Grave Yard, resulted in the death of 24-year-old, Lisa Isidore of Babonneau, Castries.
Police say Isidore was at the Grave Yard when an individual fired a shot in her direction, hitting her in the upper body. She was taken via ambulance to the Victoria Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The police are calling out for public assistance in this case. A post mortem has been scheduled to be performed on the body of Lisa Isidore.
