Seashell Island Lifestyle Magazine made its debut on Saturday, June 18 in grand style at the Beausejour Industrial Estate.  It was a dual launch with Seashell partnering with Trim Air Charter to introduce a new brand of luxury services to St Lucia.

Seashell Island Lifestyle magazine is the brainchild of Hanna Fitz, CEO of Seashell Consulting. Speaking to the STAR, Fitz said she was inspired by a magazine she happened upon in Anguilla four years ago called Elite Traveller.

Said Fitz: “The magazine fascinated me because I had never since a publication that was so large, solely dedicated to the private jet traveler and had stunning imagery and amazing quality. I decided at that point that one day I would create a publication that catered to a luxury market but connected to our island. I also didn’t want to just highlight luxurious things but to also incorporate spirituality and the human side of life; featuring stories of persons who have gone through a journey that many can either contemplate or even fear going through. We really want to portray a balance.”

Fitz considers the first issue to be a teaser of what can be expected of the magazine. Giving an insight she explained: “We have featured a bit on gastronomy where Iron Chef America 2006 Beau MacMillan gave us an interview I am certain many will find interesting.  We also have pieces on wines, island living, real estate, finance and fashion. One of our powerful features is on our cover model Chantal Hewitt who has given a very candid account of her journey to self discovery. We really hope that this can impact many lives and look forward to persons who are willing to share their own journey to help impact others.”

The first issue of Seashell Island Lifestyle is just the beginning of a master plan.  Fitz outlined her vision for the publication saying, “I really expect growth for the magazine going forward with more interesting editorial, attracting new advertisers and covering new areas of that appeal to the luxury market. With each issue will be the opportunity to achieve our goal of balancing a 360 degree luxury lifestyle (spiritual, mental and tangible wealth). I also want the magazine to eventually extend outside the shores of St Lucia and introduce global ideas that can inspire us locally.”

Trim Air Charter seemed to be an apropos partner for the magazine and together, both companies hope to grow.

“Our companies recognized that the products and services being offered had synergies in terms of target audience and so we decided that it would be well-suited to launch a luxury car service together with Seashell Island Lifestyle. Trim Air Charter has serviced some of Saint Lucia’s most elite visitors including the Royal Family (UK) and so our magazine will be well placed in their fleet of transportation,” Fitz told the STAR.

The next issue of Seashell Island Lifestyle magazine will be out later this year in November.
