What a wonderful place and Mrs Williams always took such good care of you. Her brother Bruce was always there too. The Clouds Nest Beach Bar was also good. How Vieux Fort has changed. I remember my wonderful colleagues at Halcyon Days such as Larry Prospere who ran the bars, Winhall Joshua HR, Pearl Hippolette and Arlette Gustave (Pele’s wife) on the Social Desk, Joanna Gustave the Housekeeper, the late Alan Morehen Social Director, the late Basil Belazaire in the band in…

The island has evolved as has Hewanorra air port. I haved returned many times since my stay at the Clouds Nest cottages on the beach.

A wonderful person. She also owned and operated the Clouds Nest Beach Bar and rental units where I lived for a year.

At the time coming from Germany as a tourist, we were stunned by all the decorations (mostly pics of the Royal family of the UK) in this place!! Anyway, the name of the lady was Miss Gildette Williams and the gentleman who was always sitting in the corner was her brother Bruce Williams, a local politician and Minister of the government. I have to say, we also always enjoyed those beautiful lunches and dinners tremendously! And the price was right all the time!! Good memories… at that time Vieux-Fort was beautiful and without crime!! Those were days… time flies too fast!!
