On Friday, November 8, 2013, a joint team of law enforcement officers continued the search of the “Mari Posa”, a vessel intercepted off the Coast of Pigeon Island on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, with two foreign nationals and a quantity of Cocaine.
During the search, an additional 96 blocks of Cocaine were discovered in another hidden compartment on the vessel, bringing the total number of parcels seized to 171.
Charges are expected to be preferred against the foreign nationals on Monday, November 11, 2013 for the offences of Possession of a Controlled Drug, Possession with the Intent to Supply a Controlled Drug and Attempt to export a Controlled Drug.
