Anse Chastanet & Jade Mountain earn accolade

Jade Mountain has received recognition as one of the 2013  best hotels in the Caribbean and Anse Chastanet as one of the best in St Lucia  by U.S. News & World Report. The 2013 Best Hotels rankings are available online at http://travel.usnews.com/Hotels.
The 2013 Best Hotels are calculated based on the aggregate opinion of travel experts and guests expressed through awards, recommendations, and ratings.
“We are delighted by this recognition,” Says Karolin Troubetzkoy, the Executive Director of Marketing and Operations. “Our staff is always striving to make both Jade and Anse Chastanet exceptional experiences and the acknowledgement by such a prestigious journal is very gratifying.  We are all very grateful.”
To create this year’s rankings, U.S. News factored in the prominence of industry awards a hotel receives along with its reputation among travel experts and guests. In total, 1,639 U.S. luxury hotels and 273 Caribbean hotels were analyzed for the 2013 rankings. Only a fraction of these scored high enough to be named Best Hotels by U.S. News.
“This is our third year ranking hotels, and the bar continues to climb for luxury properties,” said Chad Smolinski, Vice President of Rankings and Reviews at U.S. News & World Report. “Desirable amenities and hotel loyalty programs will no longer suffice. People are seeking hotels that go above and beyond to give their guests an unforgettable experience. Hotels that consistently meet the high expectations of experts and travelers are recognized in our rankings.”
Sister properties, JADE MOUNTAIN and Anse Chastanet are nestled in a 600-acre seaside estate, enjoying one of the most scenic settings in the Caribbean, overlooking St Lucia’s twin Piton peaks.  Their bold designs were conceived by architect and owner Nick Troubetzkoy whose philosophy is to build in harmony with Caribbean nature and environment.  Anse Chastanet Resort, with its hillside rooms amid tropical foliage, borders one of the St. Lucia’s best beaches and Jade Mountain invites guests to experience its sanctuaries, 1400-1600 square foot rooms each with their own infinity pools.
JADE MOUNTAIN and ANSE CHASTANET have also been named as one of the top 100 hotels of the world in Condé Nast Traveler’s reader survey, November 2012 issue.
