The Anse La Raye Carnival Committee presents it’s annual Carnival Queen Pageant on Saturday July 2nd at the Anse La Raye Primary School. Come witness six lovely contestants battle for the Miss Anse La Raye 2011 title under the theme ‘Fashion and the Environment.’
Heidi Titus, a student of the Sir Ira Simmons Secondary School is one of the contestants going up for the carnival pageant and notably, Heidi is a member of the Youth on Fire Ministry as well as the West Angels Dance Group.
Contestant Shevron Leoncie attends Leon Hess Secondary School and enjoys reading, writing, kicking back with some good music and partying some of the time. Shevron is part of the School of Music Jazz Band, Cecilian Rays Choir and the School of Music’s Advanced Band.
Cheska Chiquot is a student of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (DAGS) and her pastimes include reading, dancing, netball and playing a rousing game of football. She’s part of the Young Stars Sports and Cultural Club.
Patrisha George, a student of Corinth Secondary School is an avid netball player who loves singing. Latoya Mederick attends Entrepot Secondary School and is part of the Youth on Fire Ministry. Her talents are dancing and singing. Sherniel Charles attends the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School and is also part of the Youth on Fire Ministry, as well as the All Stars Sport and Cultural Group. Apart from singing and dancing, in her spare time she can be found curled up with an interesting read or sharpening her acting skills.
