Athletics Association announced CARIFTA Championships Team

Shelton Rose will compete in the under 20 age group 100 metres.

The St Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) is proud to announce the team that will represent our nation, at the 48th edition of the CARIFTA Championships in the Cayman Islands from April 20-22. The team is comprised of the athletes competing in the following events: Under-17 age category: Miguel Charlery (Rockets Athletics Club) 100m and 200m; Khailan Vitalis ( Speed Printing Survivors ) high jump; Zoya Jn Marie (Speed Printing Survivors) discus. Under-20 age group: Shelton St Rose (Choiseul Athletics), 100m; Reuben Nichols (Morne Stars), 400m; Michael Joseph (Gros Islet Athletics) 400m; Tariq Xavier (Individual) 800m and 1500m; CJ Felix (Speed Printing Survivors), Octathlon Open; Kimane Alphonse (Pacesetters) 400m.

While in the Cayman Islands, the athletes will be accompanied and supported by the following team coaches: Makeba Alcide, Titus Dafrose Elien and Victor Cornibert.

The SLAA congratulated those athletes selected for the team and wish them and the coaches the best of luck, as they represent our nation at the at the CARIFTA Championships. 

The (SLAA) is the national governing body for athletics in St Lucia, inclusive of track and field, cross country running, road running and race walking.
