BAY GARDENS AWARDS TOP PERFORMING STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year Bay Gardens Resorts invites the primary school children of its staff to apply for an exclusive scholarship awarded by the hotel chain. The top Common Entrance Exam scorer, based on all applications, is then rewarded at a presentation ceremony hosted by Bay Gardens’ Executive Director, Sanovnik Destang and General Managers, Mrs Berthia Parle, (Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa) and Ms Waltrude Patrick (Bay Gardens Hotel and Inn).

Ashlyn Theodore and Gabriellea James are proud recipients of 2015 scholarships from Bay Gardens Beach Resorts.
On Wednesday, September 9th Bay Gardens Resorts happily awarded Ashlyn Theodore, daughter of Reservations Manager Ms. Anice O’Neil, and Gabriellea James, daughter of Krishnal James, Front Desk Receptionist, with the 2015 scholarships. Ashlyn scored a resounding 92% placing 30th on the island.

“I’m delighted that we are able to reward some of St. Lucia’s youth for their hard work and dedication to success. Both Ashlyn and Gabriellea have shown true commitment to their future and so we are happy to help support their continued accomplishments,” said Mr. Destang.

Ceremony guests included proud parents of the recipients. Also present was Bay Gardens’ former scholarship winner Gibea Edward who worked hard and maintained an average of 70% and above in order to retain her scholarship.

“Gibea Edward has truly made her teachers from The St. Joseph’s Convent, her extended family and most of all, me, ecstatic on her performance. We are extremely proud of her success and hope she continues to excel,” said Ms. Joseph, Gibea’s mother, adding: “and to my Bay Gardens family I say thank you for the assistance; it is greatly appreciated.”

Ashlyn is now attending The St. Joseph’s Convent Secondary School while Gabriellea is at Leon Hess Secondary School. The staff and management team of Bay Gardens Resorts would like to wish them good luck on their continued success.
