Boards asked by new government to tender resignations

Prime Minister Kenny Anthony is seeking to complete the formation of his new government.

A press release from the Office of the Prime Minister sent out this morning called on heads of all statutory bodies and companies to tender their resignations. Read the release: “Now that Ministers have been sworn in, it is necessary to move to the next stage to complete the formation of the entire Government. Persons who were appointed to serve on Statutory Boards, Government owned companies, or agencies are invited to tender their resignations to the appropriate Minister to allow the Government a free hand to reconstitute these bodies. This is normal practice and convention and usually follows every General Election. Meanwhile, the Government takes the opportunity to thank all those who served the people of Saint Lucia over the past five years.”
