Body of missing woman found in the Micoud river

Micoud police are continuing their investigation into the death of 59-year-old, Helen Xavier St Martin of New Extension, Micoud, who was discovered in the Troumassee River in Micoud, about 1:30pm on Saturday January 1st, 2011, by a group of young boys who were walking alongside the river. The body of Helen St Martin was later pronounced dead at the St Jude Hospital.

She was reported missing on Thursday 23 December, 2010. She was last seen about 10am at Mahaut, Micoud. A thorough search of the area by police officers and family members had proven unsuccessful until the subsequent discovery. A post mortem is scheduled to be performed shortly.
