[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Bonne Terre Preparatory School was the vision of a private educational institution with small class learning environments. The school’s founder Jennifer Alexander was attempting to fulfil the need to provide private education in the north of the island. The school’s initial enrolment of nine students has multiplied throughout the years and currently the school in the only institution on island that caters for children from toddlers to Grade 11.
On September 14, 2017 the staff and students of the school will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary. A number of events have been planned in celebration of this milestone.
The first event is a fundraiser for and in celebration of our 25th Anniversary. Part proceeds from the event will be donated to The St. Lucia Blind Welfare Association. With social responsibility being part of the school’s mandate it is felt that the Blind Welfare is an organization that is often overlooked in terms of charitable donations.
The event; an exclusive “cocktail masquerade and dance” with the theme “O Starry Night” will take place at the St. Lucia Golf and Country Club on December 12th 2016 at 7:00 pm. Event is inclusive of food and a mask, drinks will be on sale.
The event hosted by M.C. Scady, will showcase an art auction of works from local artists including Naja Simeon, Nikita Leon, Jonathan Gladding and Nicole Edgecombe. Entertainment includes a live performance by Deridee Williams and O’Jay Joseph, with new comer Cleopatra. DJ Play will take the rest of the evening by storm for dancing under a starry night.
