The Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) has recorded its first ‘COVID-19 related’ death. The deceased is an inmate who passed away on Wednesday, February 3. On Thursday, Director of the BCF, Mr. Hilary Herman told the STAR that the male inmate was among the 8 prisoners who tested positive in January, 2021. The Director says that at the time of his passing, the inmate— who had underlying health conditions— was at the Respiratory Hospital.
The Director disclosed that he was serving time for the possession of ammunition, and was admitted to the BCF on November 27, 2019.
