Bounty Rum, sponsor for St Lucia Carnival 2016, is elated to be the sponsor of carnival queen contestant Sheris Paul. After being sashed as ‘Miss Bounty’ at a ceremony held at Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort, Miss Sheris Paul is excited and ready to do her best at this year’s staging of the event. This prestigious national queen pageant is expected to serve as a platform which celebrates these eight extraordinary young ladies – all very talented and graceful – at the National Cultural Centre on Saturday, July 2nd, 2016.
At a young age, Sheris embraced training in dance and drama, affording her the opportunity to develop an immense passion for the stage. Having participated in Miss Independence Pageant 2015 and Miss Queen of Gros Islet, her love for pageants has progressed and she intends to further her personal development by way of the stage and pageantry.
Will Durant once said, “We are what we repeatedly do; excellence is then not an act but a habit”, words Sheris lives by and uses as her daily mantra. As a youth with purpose, Sheris is a student at Monroe College studying Business Management with aspirations of ultimately being a Marketing Specialist.
She intends to connect with young women like her to encourage and empower them to achieve their career goals. Full of potential and hope for the future, Sheris has promised Bounty that she will definitely ‘Be the Spirit of St Lucia Carnival’ and is ready to dazzle the audience as she carries the Bounty Rum brand with pride and joy.
Bounty Rum brand manager Tony Polius said: “Having such a well-rounded, intelligent and focused young lady who is no stranger to the stage, willing to take bold steps in advancing herself, I was happy to have branded her as Miss Bounty for Carnival.”
Go out and support the eight beautiful ladies at this year’s pageant as it promises to be exciting.
