Two men who received life sentences for murder and have served over 20 years, were on Wednesday granted parole by Saint Lucia’s Parole Board. Both 47 years old, the inmates are housed at the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF). A 7 member Parole Board conducted the respective hearings today.
The details surrounding Wednesday’s parole hearings are still unclear, given that they were held ‘in camera’ (reporters were not allowed to attend).
The relevant authorities are expected to issue a statement on the matter.
