Campari Winners Come Together to Celebrate!

Carnival Tuesday—“We ready for de road!”

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t was certainly a year for love in the Soca Kingdom for several lucky Campari consumers recently. The winners of the “Campari Road to Trini Carnival” promotion 2018 completed a sensational journey by joining Campari brand ambassadors and managers from across the Caribbean to celebrate the greatest show on earth, Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.

Vernessa Hughes and Nessa Raymond were the lucky Saint Lucian winners of the “Campari Road to Trini Carnival” promotion, accompanied by their guests Simeon Joseph and Errol Edwin as well as Campari Brand manager Denver Alcee, plus Keamus Durancy, Trade Marketing rep at Peter & Company Distribution (PCD).

On Saturday February 10 the Saint Lucian team arrived in Trinidad where they joined winners from the Bahamas, Grenada, Belize and Trinidad and Tobago for a marvelous experience, which included fetes like “A.M. Bush”, “Jamboree” and “Blocko”, all featuring some of the best Soca performers and DJs in the world. On Carnival Monday and Tuesday the winners partied on the streets of Port of Spain as they indulged in the Campari-sponsored Tribe Carnival Band with the section “Rogue”.

“Awesome” was how Vernessa Hughes described her Trinidad Carnival experience with Campari. “From the moment we got to Trinidad, to the events we went to, the hotel, the food—everything was just on point and we were treated like VIP, and felt very safe and comfortable as we enjoyed every moment of it,” she enthused. She smiled as she reminisced on her first taste of Campari and a very special grapefruit juice while in Trinidad, which she now ranks as her favourite drink.

Denver Alcee, Campari Brand Manager at PCD said that it was gratifying to see the winners enjoying themselves and giving great feedback about their experience. “This was a wonderful way to culminate what was an amazing promotion and one that was overwhelmingly supported by Saint Lucians and we want to say ‘thank you, and keep enjoying Campari’, responsibly of course,” he said.

During the Trini Carnival experience, winners engaged and interacted with the brand and some amazing Campari cocktails, posting selfies of their journey using #camparicometogther #camparicarnival #camparitrini18.

The “Campari Road to Trini Carnival” 2018 promotion was brought to life with the impact of brand ambassadors Soca Star Bunji Garlin of Trinidad and Tobago and Shensea of Jamaica, both of whom left an impressive mark on Trinidad’s carnival 2018. The pair matched the versatility of Campari, described as a flexible spirit that can come together with many ingredients to enhance your favourite cocktails or enjoyed on the rocks. Using the tagline “Campari – Come Together” the brand demonstrated its enigmatic and compelling energy as the official drink sponsor for Trinidad Carnival 2018.
