Saint Lucia is set to welcome back Canadian visitors to its shores this fall/winter season with direct service from major Canadian airlines. The first flight back to Saint Lucia will depart from Toronto (YYZ) on October 3rd with Air Canada, since the cancellation of flights to the Caribbean amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new air schedule coincides with the loosening of restrictions on travel between the two countries as of September 7th, 2021, enabling fully vaccinated international visitors to enter Canada for non-essential travel and removing mandatory hotel quarantine requirements.
Air Canada will resume its direct nonstop service from Toronto (YYZ) to Saint Lucia (UVF), operating on a once-a-week frequency every Sunday starting on October 3rd, then increasing to (2) weekly flights (Fri/Sun) on October 31st. The winter schedule will include (4) weekly flights as of Christmas, December 25th (Tue/Wed/Fri/Sun).
Westjet is set to resume its winter service to Saint Lucia starting on November 7th with a once-a-week flight (every Sunday), then increasing frequency to 3 weekly flights (Sun/Thurs/ Sat) beginning the week of December 12th, 2021. Sunwing will also resume direct service to Saint Lucia from Toronto weekly starting on November 6th (every Saturday).
Canadian visitors must obtain a negative PCR (Polymerized Chain Reaction) test within five days before travel to Saint Lucia. To ensure a seamless airport experience, all visitors and returning nationals must complete a Pre-Arrival registration form before departure, found on www.stlucia.org. The page features a checklist overview of mandatory requirements to ensure that visitors are not denied entry upon arrival.
