Clearly we wont recycle properly, so we should try to implement money return on plastic bottles. That in itself would save huge amounts of plastic. Other items should be sold as refillable. Also use string bags to carry shopping goods which can be reused, rather than use plastic bags. Compulsory bins at events, fixed penalty fines for littering. This is a real problem not just for tourism, but for life itself. Strong action must be taken.
