Co-operation Mission from Argentina visits Saint Lucia

A joint delegation from the International Cooperation Department of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Relations Department from the Argentine Ministry of Agriculture visited Saint Lucia between the 4th and 6th of March, 2015. The delegation, accompanied by the Argentine Embassy in Saint Lucia, held meetings with Saint Lucian government officials in order to follow up ongoing cooperation projects and identify new areas of mutual interest.

During the meetings, the Argentine delegation shared the philosophy, scope and goals that guide the Argentine South-South and Triangular Cooperation Fund.

Within the fields of Tourism and Civil Aviation, ideas were exchanged in order to determine new stages within the framework of ongoing projects. In addition, new fields of cooperation were discussed with the Ministry of External Affairs, International Trade and Civil Aviation; the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Production, Fisheries, Co-operatives and Rural Development; the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Human Services and Gender Relations; and the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology.

The results of the Argentine Cooperation Mission to Saint Lucia can be considered to be highly positive, judging by the high level of commitment shown during the meetings and the deeper understanding shown by both parties, thus contributing to deepening the relationship between both countries.
