Neuva says: Mwen peh
Bravo to the artist for having the courage to express in a song about our precious St. Lucia's soon-to-be demise. Well, folks, you should be afraid indeed, there is serious cancer biting away at your Island and you have no idea that it exists if you did you would be really afraid.
I have to warn you that the Island is slowly changing hands becoming a slave of Twinase, the Chinese, the world bank, and sadly your representatives. The artist entertains you with his music you sing and dance to the tune if you are not careful, soon you will be mourning and weeping.
As a people, we always waited till the very end to rise, but this is no time to be slothful, no time to wait and see, its time for action, your plight began with your people whom you place in power to represent you, well they did and are doing more than representation they are causing degradation, most of them are thieves selling the island under your very nose, while you praise them for little favors.
Sometimes to see the problem facing you, one must step out and take a closer look to pinpoint the fault, unlike technology which reverts to the default, this one problem situation escalates and plunge into a disaster where it is found dead. There are those among you that think themselves safe because they have more resources and can dominate others, those people will someday wake up to a rude awaking finding that their money is no good.
It has now started with uncontrollable crime, it darn tooting easy to kill with the importation of guns to the Island, think about it, you don’t have a gun factory on the island have you? You don’t replicate bullets either, yes they are all imported right under your noses passed by the very new rulers you gave citizenship, to and by the thugs you put in power over you.
Don’t murmur to yourself saying I did not know for I told you so, do not say to yourself me! I am not in that very stupid you are in it to the hilt, for when the shit hit the fan everyone got sprayed and rain on your parade, for a while I have been telling you to buckle up and do the right thing, look to among you for a righteous person and set your house in order, I don’t have the solution but you do living on the Island it's your call if you want to.
MY people have been idle for too long, while other countries fight for freedom, you sit on your asses waiting for someone to bail you out, freedom does not come cheap, and when let to decay it stinks and you with it. So yes Morgie, mwen peh by the way excellent job son of the soil – The Land The People – looking for the Light.

While you are celebrating little victories please step back and look at the big picture, ask yourself what good is it if our citizens are still being killed on an average basis, what good is it to the natives if they cannot enjoy a level of calm and safety in their backyard, some grandstand all the things that make for a picture perfect but hide the real truth, the real truth St. Lucia you are in decline govern by rats and looted by mice, and your audience applause for that is their nature, and you know their weakness.
I will continue to be a voice in your heads evoking a self-awareness in you my St. Lucia, exposing you to the world of how a people were held hostage by a few infidels, as long as the killings continue my columns will awaken your sense of pride that is if you have any, as long as a family is mistreated at the courts or the stores, or at their homes you will read about it here. I don’t need this collum to express my dissatisfaction with how my people, read it at www.kenvilgatkins.com the people of St. Lucia are being taken advantage of all because of their good nature.
You all know what ails the country it is but a small spec in the ocean but has become a haven for thugs and criminals, parasites and liars some in the name of representation, by the way, whoever is in charge of Micoud, my Micoud it is time to abolish that stinking canal that runs straight through the Village, oh yes they may have or will have stolen the funds needed to have engineers to come up with an idea how to divert the mang water backfill and plant flowers to the length and breadth of the stinking canal.
It is possible if funds were to be donated by everyone for this worthy project, I would be the first to donate if my fellow countrymen had not broken into my home for the third time and helped themselves to whatever they could carry, yes you police persons did not investigate or care one bit, it was not their home so why should they care, its just their job if they want to perform it.
Things like that stealing, house vandalizing, and business robbery will continue soon even the most secure will feel it, who feels it knows it, but my love for the Island remains and my heart bleeds when I see the disgrace and sad state you are becoming, on the surface all seems well, life continues some smart person had a breakthrough numerous sum of money borrowed for a project that will never materialize or finish, while behind the glamour the Island suffer with killings, thefts, and a decadent morality.
Next time you read a feel-good story stop and wonder, then watch and pray for your St. Lucia is in decline and going downhill like a rolling stone, and we know about the saying, a rolling stone gathers no moss, someone needs to save poor Helen.

POOR SAD ST. LUCIA YOU NEED A CHANGE:
Neuva Says:
I get to thinking that someday someone who is born in St. Lucia will elevate and chase those radical misfits out of the Island, mind you they now have a secure den to hide in, and regardless of how deep they go, the power of prevention can stop them. They are like rodents who when their population increases show up everywhere, big talk and small-minded people, living on your Island resources of sun sand, and seawater, nothing wrong with our visitors to fair Helen but how long do you think they will last with the level of crime being committed, and not on an average basis those thugs spend their worthless hours thinking about another killing, yet another suffering parent.
Bring back capital punishment, I am reminded of the hanging of Fook Sal, all stood up and take notice, and a disciplinary period followed thereafter, we need to if you are found guilty your sentence should be swift with a good old-fashioned hanging, if you do the crime then you can take the punishment, the killings will never stop if the one doing the killing has more rights than the victim, waisting the courts precious time deliberating when caught in the act, while the other victims mourn theirs loses.
To the honest and decent law-abiding citizen of St. Lucia, your Island is too small to accommodate a jailhouse of desperate criminals, I say they have forfeited their rights to society as a whole, why are you exposing their crime as if it is a beautiful bouquet, you put them on TV, and flash their blasted faces in your newspapers all for a buck or two, why interview such rodents.
Goodness gracious for the love of God do something, say something out loud, not when people's backs are turned, I know you too well my people, you have a lot to say when the backs are turned let me tell you this attitude is a coward’s and helpless state of mind. You only live once in a country without laws or with laws but not taken seriously is sure to fall into corruption.
Making a big deal just because you place a woman at the helm does not stop crime, women are far superior to most men, but working within the corrupt system is a recipe for failure, so sorry most things have to change, get back to the conference table something you do so well, only this time express new ideas, borrow a page from the Roman Emperor rule with strength and purpose. I have yet to read up on something positive regarding my beloved Island that was not stressful.
Every little promotion made to the people is such a big deal, every little gift given to the people is blown out of proportion and the people rejoice. Please fix the broken wheel before you load it with the manure of all kinds, we need a change for the better.

Neuva Says:
Has the fat lady sung her last song?
Greetings folks I am glad you drop by, whether it was planned or accidental it is just fine with me, on this website you only get to read things of positive vibrations, like something dear to my heart, the degradation of a once prominent Island, there was a time not so long ago, you could fish near the shoreline, believe it or not, red and blue crabs use to run wild making their way to the beach, mango fruit trees were grown all along the roadside, was readily available to all no restriction, Julie mangoes included.
Like everything else that is now almost gone out of existence, do you ever ask yourself why? Of course not, you just take it for granted and jot it down as a sign of the times, let me tell you that you are wrong if you think that way, thinking that way has consequences without measure, casing point the incoming foreigners have fenced you out and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Look around you my fellow St. Lucians, there is something radically wrong here, do you see any skilled migrants coming forward to house your hospitals? Oh yeah, that's right you don’t have any hospital, the money is now in the pockets of those you trust to govern over you.
Oh well let me tell you it should not ever be not kay sera, sera you should put your right foot forward and jam it in the doorway, your leaders have failed you, stolen from you, and left you for ruin, but they have not finish diminishing your resources, soon another set of do-gooders will come up for their share I guaranteed you wait and see.
Who among you has the guts to challenge the system stand up and be counted, as I travel towards the twilight of my age my heart bleeds for a once prominent people of character, when everyone had equal rights and justice, if you think you are being victimized now just tarry a little while for the new system will send you one way trip to the gallows.
Slow down you are moving too fast, relax long enough to ponder, and think of where you now stand, now try to remember a decade ago before independence, loyal St. Lucia had no debt hanging over it, a good day catch put money in the fishermen’s pocket, the sweet grass-fed your animals the slaughterhouse was full, vegetables were abundant and the market place was booming.
We had no debts, we did not owe the World Bank, no loans from the Taiwanese government, and no panhandling yep we were not a nation of beggars, and then blindly with our noses we were led to the pasture to be a nation of beggars. It could be said for the infidels who fill their pockets with your resources, yes shame on them. Now it is much too late and the fat lady has sung her last song.

NEUVA SAYS:
Good morning St. Lucia happy 2023:
Good morning St. Lucia, how are you? Yes, I am your native son, still collecting statistics in a would-be undeveloped St. Lucia, however, the crime rate has not lagged, ask yourself why, it’s a combination of bad management, bad ideas, bad debts, and sticky fingers.
Unreliable and thugs going house to house deceiving the sons and daughters and selling them a bill of inaccurate data with their bull shit talk, ask what or where the Island rank in the Human Development Index, in the Gross National Income per capita, poverty is not just mainly rural but rampant, it shows when you are victimized by greedy hungry neighbors, the formal jobs are given to outsiders while your native-born answer to them yes Sir, of course, some live in extreme poverty, to ashame to come forward and be counted.
I doubt if 50% of the Island children attend school, which is the wealth of a nation to stand tall and be counted, and if those who attend would they even make it to third grade, I say that to invoke your consent and God willing you will take back your Island from the degradation it's heading.
St. Lucia my native St. Lucia, what is your literacy rate at present ranking in the Caribbean Developing Countries, mothers and fathers how is your life expectancy, what is the mortality because of malnourishment do your children die before reaching their first birthday probably.
Yet you boast of being intellectuals with morals and decency you even want to govern my people, fancying yourself adequately qualified.
You who are capable get involved in a country where about 50% of children don’t attend school, you can help make a difference, education can transform communities for justice, yes you can make a difference you can change someone’s life through caring and support, don’t let your charitable spirit diminish there are also many other ways you can help, not through greed and pompous pride, not through name calling and embezzlement, certainly not through trickly.
I doubt if beautiful St. Lucia will or can make it through 2023, due to the constant borrowing from the world bank, from the bank, and into the pockets of the powers be, no wonder they all want to be Prime Ministers and so forth, there is ill-gotten wealth to be gain, may Jehovah intervene and shut the door on those infidels and junkyard dogs.
St. Lucia my St. Lucia, the pitons are welcoming visitors to your shores, the Sulpher Springs are refreshing their spirit, and the lush climate and inviting beaches not to mention the delicious food are part of your god-given wealth, go ahead and share with your neighbors not only to the visitors it is yours and theirs also.
Once upon a time those were our hidden gems, but now they are captivated and sold to foreign nationals for a mere trinket because we have become a nation of beggars, all because of a few bad-minded nasty thugs we call our leaders, in 2023 you need a change, stop being a beggar and grab hold of the wheel stir your Island to greatness.

NEUVA SAYS UK, CAN YOU HEAR ME:
National Day I say no and I call it a sad Day, stop believing in a St. Lucia fantasy that is all but lost, to those who left St. Lucia making a living just so they can return to their nest, hear this!, it is true you left your St. Lucia and have gone into marriage with your beloved UK, or usa, even Canada, your dream of a prosperous St. Lucia is all in your head because of love for your Island, yes the beaches are still there, and the sun is hot, the rain dampens the noonday heat bringing cool breeze to the land, the mountains are still majestic to behold, the old folks in your generation has now all pass away unto their rest, which makes you daydream, your little fifteen-minute visit puts a pep in your step, and your eyes are blinded to the misery of the Island.
Hurrah for you, get a real look around you to see the unforgiven plight independence has caused to the Island, we have become a nation of beggars, sold our birthright to foreigners because we don’t have the right stuff, our so-called leaders are nothing but scavengers and opportunist, nothing to do with the Land The People or the Light, of course, you are on the brink of disaster moving fast on a oneway dead end road.
Those who have ears listen carefully, your leader's greed has darkened and placed a choke hold on our Island, the poor have been neglected, the sick are dying for lack of proper care, and your crops are rueing for lack of love for the land, your old is without hope for lack of hospitalization, your children are being sold to the highest bidder for lack of knowledge spoiled by commercializing propaganda, foreign diplomacy of treacherous intent, and you think to say happy National Day.
Once lost can never regain, this generation was led astray, to crimes and violence liars, like a pack of hungry wolves preying on their neighbors, I invite you to bring your wealth to St. Lucia it all will have lasted but one day, modern pirates Roam both parties of the government, and jackals roam the streets. Come stay here if you dare, maybe next year you will say Happy Sad day St. Lucia.
Again I say to the Fox: Fox my man! You nailed it, to further elaborate on your unique observation let me say St. Lucia had no business being independent when all it does is panhandle, begging for bones, the so-called elected leaders for the past decade have been blind beggars acting like kids playing at a tea party with dummy stuff dolls.
They fight among themselves for the bigger piece of the pie and scrabble with name-calling lies, and deceit, no wonder this country St. Lucia is in a shit hole with murders by the score, still they fight and scrabble among themselves instead of standing tall and being true heroes to the cause, asleep at the wheel they are, let me tell you what they are not, truthful no, lazy yes, greedy yes, innovative thinkers no, bossy yes, fresh, yes, stupid yes, brilliant no, those are the people who have represent a failing Island, captain the ship is sinking.
The biggest heartache of all is that the Island produce and has among those failures people of true grit and brilliant top-notch sons and daughters, however, they are not given a chance to shine, and we all know why?.

NEUVA:
DARK SHADOWS.
It came upon a midnight clear, that Christmas feeling, I recalled that magical month of December growing up as a little boy in the parish of Micoud, oh Micoud you who have kept the seat of power since the ruling of John Compton that land pirate, not much good came out of him, but he never begs to disgrace his homeland, he did little for the people who place him in power, and after he came worse scavengers, Micoud was left in the stone ages, left for ruins, a depilated slaughterhouse and the stinking drain that bouquet the air inside the village, say three cheers to the bastards that use my people good generosity and blind faith.
With a penny in my pocket, I waited anxiously to bum a ride to the neighboring Desruisseaux, bazaar, and festival, a penny could go a long way, the people were alive with gallantry and fun. Who would have thought a decade later St. Lucia my St. Lucia would become a habitual beggar, its leader's great men like my grand uncle M. Lewis rule this Island with distinct and benevolence, using the God-given resources given to us, indeed it was The Land The People The Light, we made do.
Then came the vultures, circling and swopping down to have a feast, they beg for money to build a hospital then stole it, they beg for money to build roads, then stole it, they beg for money to build the airport, then stole it, yes those modern-day beggars eventually sold your beloved country to foreigners for a bone, the foreigners use their intercalated know how to feed their greed and sit back and watch them slowly decay.
Now the dark clouds are gathering above you St. Lucia and no one to shelter you from the storm, your leaders have shown the scavengers how to steal by their actions, they talk in the daytime and plunder in the night oh what shame they have brought to your shores if you could only find one person who says the truth from either group of pirates who rule over you then maybe you could survive for another year.
Lies and malice are at the forefront of the agenda, they have perfected the lying technic, because they don’t have anyone to be accountable for their devious plunder, given a choice I would have them all thrown out and seek a just man or woman to save fair Helen.
It seems to run in their blood the lies and the cheating which they do in many different forms, citizenship was the lowest blow to you my people, that brought in all the rats from a sinking ship to your house, and now you are infested with all kinds of malicious rejects who is now strong enough to topple your little island since citizen was their way of profiting only to embezzle the funds they have no vision or knowledge nor do they want too.
You now live among a collective of strangers who will soon run you out of your homeland, they have started placing their leaders in a key position, their people has built their own little nest like China Town, and its Triad other scorpions will now dig in to form a vicious circle.
It is not as if they meant well to our once peace-loving people of two dominating people the gina and the coolie, the have and the have not, it has always been that way everyone knew their place and life was in abundant, soon you will ask yourself where are my native people now.
And after the feast was all done we bum a ride back to our little village to enjoy our pig stew, yellow yam, and dasheen, a little beef stew flinging our doors wide open to the sounds of tum ba, and people making merry it's our traditional Christmas.
Alas, greed has overpowered the rulers, no more brotherhood, all that is left is misery, shootings, killings, chopping, stealing, and foul play. I became a victim to the cowardly way of life that some have already adopted, I brought money into the country to the sum of $250.000 built a house to live among my people, shared my resources contracted builders, masonry, carpenters, electrician, employed them to build my dream home, and they did. Before the builder finished the home had broken into not one, not twice but three times, and all that was in there was ravaged and stolen, poverty has become a sickness to some and the answer is to plunder their neighbors, smiling at you in the day time and stealing from you in the night.
I would rather have given all that I have free to the needy if ask, my heart has been broken by what my creole people have become, someone would steal a cow or a sheep even a foul, but seldom you would hear someone break into a home disgusting shame.
Even with all this tribulation the love for my people run deep, I pray that a solution will materialize and the wild ravenous way of my people cease, but that is wishful thinking, the need to have and the need for more has overpowered their little brains and the arrow has left the quiver.

Those who have ears listen carefully, your leader’s greed has darkened and placed a choke hold on our Island, the poor have been neglected, the sick are dying for lack of proper care, and your crops are rueing for lack of love for the land, your old is without hope for lack of hospitalization, your children are being sold to the highest bidder for lack of knowledge spoiled by commercializing propaganda, foreign diplomacy of treacherous intent, and you think to say happy National Day.

Well done and kudos to Mr. Justin and Theresa Moore for putting together this yearly event. The St Lucian community in the UK needs this to show their love for their country. What better way to do this? It is a genuinely patriotic event that has been going on for a while now. Where are the top Lucian figures in the UK? How comes they were not present? Where was the High Commissioner? Reading from the report it looks like the deputy did a great job by attending and being there for the people.

It is so lovely seeing people come together to celebrate such an important event. Mr. Moore has been a true servant of the community in the UK. I think he should be given an award for all the good work that he has been doing. We need to honour our heroes while they are alive. Once more Kudos to Mr. and Mrs. Moore for your good work. Let us keep the community moving. St Lucia, we love you!

Well done to the folks in London for keeping this wonderful celebration going. This flag-raising has been going on for many years now from what I have been told. I have met both Mr. and Mrs. Moore and they are indeed pillars of the St. Lucian community in London. they do their best to assist their people in the UK.

The weather has not been good lately as it has been very cold in the UK with snow falling. It's been bitterly cold. Public transport is on strike as well as the nurses. It isn't a good time to be in the UK at the moment and despite that people turned up to partake in the activities to mark National day. That is a very warm gesture and like Mr. Moore said he is grateful for that. Mr. Moore has done a lot of work not only for the St Lucian community but for other communities as well. I think it is about time he is given an honour or a peerage. They gave peerages to useless people like Ian Botham and Tony Sewell who sold the black community out with the right-wing drivel he put together for former PM Boris Johnson.

Justin Moore has done far better things than these two Good-For-Nothing individuals and yet he is being ignored. Why don't St Lucian and the black community, on the whole, get together to campaign on behalf of Mr. Moore so that a peerage or honour can be bestowed upon him? Common now people let us support the gentleman. Let us support our own. Kudos to Mr. and Mrs. Moore of East London. Continue serving the people! You are doing a superb job.

BEULAH LAND
Oh beautiful St. Lucia Island in the sun
I did not leave because I hated thee
You are dear to me like a cup of cool
Clearwater
But the pioneer spirit would not let me be
It’s in my blood and pushes me onward
But I vouch someday to return my love
Today my soul mourns for thee seeing your
Dying ambers
The young and old have been taken, hostage
Rule by a government of weak hearts
There is a brewing cancer governed by a nest
Of scorpions and vipers of all kinds
For a few trinkets, they come by the shipload
To your shores
Recking havoc on a then our peaceful nation
Of God-fearing people who live by the rules
Now it is too late your birthright has been stolen
Sold to the highest bidder
By the very same people you love and protect
They open your door to strange people with
Strange custom intending to dominate
Placing a choke hold around your neck force
You into submission slavery
Some came bearing gifts making us a gluttony
People rotten fruits at that poisoning this
Generation for gain and security
Now they openly bear arms against us killing
Our people at random
Our loving citizen of the sun Island will soon be no more
The killing has become a way of life a vice adopted
By devels and passing it on to our youth
For a mere trinket
While our leaders twirl their fingers looking for another
Bribe another dollar of useless infidels
Our creole heritage is soon to become a thing
Of the past
Replace it with Twanise jumbo Mombo or Chinese
Chin Chung
Our land of peace our beautiful St. Lucia has
Become a vipers paradise
Fellow brothers and sisters beloved of St. Lucia
There is no time left for slumber
Open your eyes to the destruction around you
The degradation and dysfunction of warm people
I am not at present with you but urge you to
Harness your God-given birthright
And rise to a new beginning a new dawning
Arm your selves with integrity love and fellowship
Trod on the belly of the snakes and shout upon the
Rooftops a call to arms
Cleanse the land that gave you birth the land of
Hills and valleys Farest Isles of all the earth
I came back to see you live among you
But you plunder my resources and left me wanting
Nevertheless, I love you like my brethren’ mind and body
The die is cast now is the time to root out evil in your
Community your villages your cities and yourselves
May the glory of Jehovah whom I served shine upon
You as you fight the good fight
The age of killing must stop now and only you can
Accomplish this if not prepare yourself for a mass
Burial of a once peace-loving creole people
I now leave you to summon up your courage as
People of St. Lucia
Once a force to reckon with alas our true leaders are gone
