With a 155-point lead over her closest competitor, Miss St Lucia Consuela Dupal on October 27 captured the Miss Caribbean Tourism title.
Taking the First Runner-up position with 2 231 points, was Jovanne John of St Vincent and the Grenadines, while Miss St Kitts Trevicia Adams was adjudged Second Runner-up, Miss Anguilla Olufunmike Devonish Banks Third Runner-up, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Latia Drakes Fourth Runner-up, and the Fifth Runner-up position went to Miss Antigua & Barbuda Shenique Barry.
From the description posted on the official Miss Caribbean Tourism website: “This vibrant, articulate and down to earth individual is elated to be Saint Lucia’s Delegate at the Miss Caribbean Tourism Queen Pageant 2012. She has a passion for the Tourism Industry and has completed a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management and works as a Concierge/Sales agent at the Morgan Bay Beach Resort in Saint Lucia.
Consuelo is no stranger to the stage, as can be seen, through her love for theatre arts and modeling including her fascination with the World of Pageantry. She also has a keen interest in the field of event planning and promotions and has established Sofyerie Promotions, one of the leading promotional agencies on the island. Consuelo enjoys a challenge and is looking forward to an amazing Caribbean Tourism Pageant Experience.”
Consuelo was greeted on Monday, October 29 at the GFL Charles Airport in St Lucia by an enthusiastic and excited welcoming party who were all too happy to congratulate her on her outstanding win!
