Courts Ready Cash Launches Microloans for Small Businesses

The Unicomer Group reinforces its commitment to Saint Lucians with the launch of Microloans by Courts Ready Cash® for startups and small business owners. Microloan is a unique product that offers not just a financial solution, but it provides clients with well-needed support to build capacity and scale up. Microloans by Courts Ready Cash®, was launched on Thursday 14 March 2019  at a press conference with representatives from Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs; the Chamber of Commerce, Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association, small business owners and members of the media.

The key note speaker Ms. Taribba do Nascimento spoke on her experience as an entrepreneur and expressed her appreciation to Unicomer for “spearheading this movement to support small and micro businesses, which will not only positively affect our economy, but also be an important means to an end for thousands of women in Saint Lucia.” The programme provides highly concessionary rates to women entrepreneurs.

The Ready Cash Chain Manager, Mrs. Alexandra DuBoulay stressed the company’s dedication to this project to help stimulate the Saint Lucian economy, which is especially timely given the high levels of youth unemployment. She highlighted the fact that the aim of this product is to help create self-employment opportunities in areas of agriculture, craft and trade among others.
