Three charities or needy families around St Lucia will be the beneficiaries of products from Courts! This announcement was made live at an event on Friday August 9th by the company’s Senior Marketing Manager Anita Phillips.
The company’s flagship branch, Courts Chaussee, came alive on Friday as customers and staff alike eagerly awaited the arrival of St Lucia Zouks Captain Darren Sammy who was accompanied by teammates Tino Best and Shane Shillingford. The cricketers, who were specially invited to make an appearance at the branch, were greeted with a store filled with loyal and supportive fans, eager and excited to come face-to-face with them.
Each of the three players got the opportunity to select any product/s product from Courts, up to the value of EC $2000 for a charity of their choice within St Lucia. This twist was taken on the part of Courts, with the aim of encouraging others to support the less fortunate in society, thereby improving lives together!
The initiative was received with wide praise and acknowledgements from both cricketers and the audience alike. It was most impressive to see customers using the opportunity to recommend a few underprivileged families and institutions in dire need around the island, which Shane Shillingford took notice of, promising to assist one young lady, a story you will hear about soon. The Zouks Captain Darren Sammy, upon his return from the games, will reveal his preferred charity, as well as that of Tino Best and together with Courts representatives, will go out and surprise the recipients. The event was fun and exciting as customers and staff got to meet their favourite players, get autographs signed, partake in the cricketers’ dance while Sir Lance excited everyone with the Zouk theme song and of course, fans won tickets to the final game in St Lucia.
One lucky Courts customer and a friend, will also get the opportunity to win an all expenses paid trip to Trinidad to see the CPLT20 finals on August 24th, with a friend. Prizes include flights, hotel accommodations, tickets to the Courts VIP hospitality suite plus spending money.
There’s always something exciting happening at Courts; promotions, offers and in-store events, so be part of it all!
