Cyprian Montrope re-elected CSA President!

Cyprian Montrope will serve another term as president of the Civil Service Association (CSA). The elections were originally scheduled for April 2020 but had to be put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Civil servants from across the country voted on November 11.

In a notice to CSA members on Thursday, General Secretary Claude Paul reported that it was held without incident and the results were confirmed by the Chairman of the Elections Commission Mr. George Radjou at 8:30 p.m.

“The CSA wishes to thank everyone who assisted in one way or the other in the conduct of the elections including the Police Welfare Association, Statutory Boards, the Department of the Public Service, the various Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Departments, the Electoral Office, the Presiding Officers and Poll Clerks, the candidates and the members who made the effort to vote,” wrote Paul.

“We are pleased that the Elections are over and look forward to a smooth transition as we prepare ourselves to deal with the challenging times ahead for our members, workers in general and the country as a whole. Together through collaboration and cooperation we will overcome whatever lies ahead. Long live the CSA. “
