Daran Rosemond – Athlete of the Week

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]or a guy who has not been on a bike for quite some time, Daran certainly made up for lost time on Sunday while competing in the supermoto event. He not only won the senior open division, but also captured the prize money for being number one in the last race of the day – Dash for Cash. Get this, he won both races on a borrowed bike. Daran has had his ups and downs in this highly competitive sport and at one point considered turning pro. For now anyway, he is content riding as a hobby and has the desire to give something back to the sport he loves by assisting the younger riders. He’s right on cue. President of the St Lucia Moto X Club Terrol Compton recently stated developing the younger riders is a top priority for the club. Congratulations Daran for being the Sports & Health Inc Athlete of the Week. I thoroughly enjoyed your performance on Sunday.
