Hmmm pressure ! ! What they need to have inquiry on they not having it. Politicians run a muck of the country they not having it. Police tired fi shoot so many innocent people until Uncle Sam ban dem where is the inquiry ?? Someone gave the order for a 747 to land on flooded runway during a mini hurricane pushing flood waters on poor people many have not even gotten a ripe breadfruit to date from the government and have barley bounce back , not to mention the lost of millions in landing fees where was the inquiry??

There can only be one of two reasons why this so called inquest keeps dragging, 1. there is no one competent person on the island to carry out such an investigation or 2. the government is playing cover up.

Listen there are procedures in place for the inspection of electrical installation in relation to hotels including Juliette’s Lodge. Certificates are issues once the authorities are satisfied that the installation of electrical wiring meets the required safety standards. When was the last time before the incident, was the hotel inspected ? What was the out come of that report ? Did they follow up ? Did the hotel have a clean bill of health, or was it asked to upgrade any part of its operation, satisfying the required Safety Codes ? And if so what was the response of the owners of Juliette’s Lodge. ?

None of this would ever had happened if “St. Lucia would adopt and more importantly “enforce ” proper building codes. Right now it’s build whatever, however you want, the cheaper the better, correctness be damned.
