Blue Waters Delivery Truck Employees Shot at Vieux Secruie

Reports reaching The Star late Thursday afternoon indicate that a gunman opened fire on a delivery truck in an attempt to rob them.

The incident is reported to have taken place in Vieux Secruie, Gros Islet as the pair were enroute back to their main office in Massade Gros Islet.

The driver, who had only recently started work with the company sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder. His colleague was also struck by the same bullet.

The pair would make their way to La Feuille where they were met by Police and Emergency Personnel. The men are said to be in stable condition.

The incidence of robberies of goods delivery vehicles has become more prevelant in the recent years and armed guards now accompany some delivery vehicles around the island.
