The three-party coalition, comprising Dr Harris’ Peoples Labour Party (PLP), the Peoples Action Movement (PAM) and the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) won seven of the 11 seats at stake in the last elections in 2015.
The main opposition St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party of former Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas, which had governed the country for 20 years before its 2015 defeat, won three seats then. The other seat went to the Nevis Reformation Party.
