[dropcap]T[/dropcap]heresa Pedriel, accompanied by her proud husband, happily came to receive her cheque from the Saint Lucia National Lottery’s head office in Sunny Acres on the morning of March 9, 2017.

The La Croix Maingot resident expressed her gratitude and excitement on winning $169,500. She claimed not to be a regular lottery player and said she only purchased tickets occasionally. Theresa also stated she never made it a habit to check the winning ticket. But the last time seemed to be her stroke of luck.

Theresa bought her ticket from Voyager in the William Peter Boulevard, Castries and casually went to check it a few days later. To her utmost delight she learned that she had won the jackpot! Of course she gave praise and thanks for her blessing and waited patiently until she had physically received it.

Theresa says she does not, as yet, have any specific plans for this vast sum of money but will surely find some good ways to spend it. The lottery game in which she participated was the Power Play.

This was the Saint Lucia National Lottery’s first presentation for the year 2017 and it looks forward to delivering many more cheques in the coming months. Congratulations Theresa!
