Excitement in T20 competition weekend play

The Cricket Association’s Bank of St Lucia T20 Competition bowled off in exciting fashion over the weekend at three venues, namely Piaye, Beauchamp and the Beausejour Cricket Ground (BCG). Despite the inclement weather 15 of the 18 schedule matches were completed.

In the second match played at the BCG Saturday afternoon, South Castries made light work of Anse La Raye who scored only 73 runs.

South Castries erased the deficit quite easily with 74/0 in just four overs. Johnson Charles who was the Player of the Match did the damage for South Castries with 56 not out.

In other games played at the BCG over the weekend, Gros Islet defeated Anse La Raye by 10 wickets. The story here was Vidal Crandon scoring 99 not out for the winning side.
