Fatal Accident at Choisuel Claims life of Motorcyclist

On Saturday, March 11, 2023, Officers of the Choiseul Police Station responded to a report of a motor cycle accident along the River Doree Road, Choiseul about 3:00 a.m.

The accident involved a rider of a motorcycle who was later identified as forty- four (44) year old Marcus Charlemange of Cacoa Pierrot, Vieux Fort. The arriving personnel found Charlemagne lying in a drain. A rapid assessment revealed that he sustained abrasions and lacerations to his body and was void of all vital signs. He was immobilized on a spine board and provided rapid emergency transportation to the St.Jude Hospital and was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for a later date. The Royal St. Lucia Police Force wishes to extend condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
