Whether at cricket, carnival or protests we have always been a nation of cardboard placard bearers. Although we suspect by and large this may have dwindled thanks to Facebook and any and everyone these days having a talk show on radio and TV where the placard venting has been replaced by cell phone users. Oh, but the group photographed here would recall the attention they got back in the day for their “wise” scribbled words. Log onto the STAR Facebook and tell us what you know about the photo and the people in it. Maybe this and several others in our photo archives may give us an indication of where our education system has been and where it is going.
