Flashback

Last week our flashback photo centered on a particular beauty surrounded by employees of one company.  Here is what some of our online readers had to say about the photo: Audrey J Charles: “the beauty is Zorida.”  “Yeah look Mr Monlouis” and “I see Mr Bodley,” wrote two other readers. Another reader correctly identified one of the gentlemen in the picture as Peter Devaux, the manager of Bryden and Partners, the company making the presentation to the beauty who went on to become Carnival Queen.

The young lady was one of several gorgeous sisters who at the time were the fantasy and fancy of many college boys including this one I am sure who correctly identified her. John Mangal wrote: “The Beauty is Zorida Norville. Next to her on her right is Barthelomew “Bumble” Marshall.”  Zorida with the support of Brydens and other sponsors, went on to win the National carnival queen pageant in 1988. (The Editor).

Tell us what you know about this week’s time tunnel flashback photo from our archives.
