[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ond Doux Plantation and Resort is among the recipients of the 2018 Experts’ Choice Award from TripExpert and Guest Review Award by Booking.com. Based on one million plus reviews from 85 different publications, the award is bestowed on only the very best hotels. Less than 2% of hotels worldwide receive the award. TripExpert takes a new approach to ratings by using only professional reviews in travel guides, magazines, newspapers and other respected sources.
Eroline Lamontagne, the resort’s Executive Director, says that she is “always honoured to receive awards like these, as it proves that we are doing great things here at Fond Doux and that our efforts do not go unnoticed”.
With praise from reviewers such as Frommer’s, Oyster and Lonely Planet, Fond Doux Plantation and Resort is one of the highest ranking hotels in Saint Lucia on TripExpert. The resort received TripExpert’s Best of Saint Lucia award. Reviewers agree that it is an outstanding choice for accommodation.
Booking.com awarded the resort with a Guest Review Award for achieving an 8.9 rating out of 10. Each year, Booking.com celebrates properties with a review score average of 8.0 and above. The score is based on all reviews that were published on the website during the 24 months preceding November 1st.
“All of these accolades represent the continuous hard work and dedication of the Fond Doux team” says Lyton Lamontagne.
The resort is 100% Saint Lucian-owned, managed and staffed and continues to offer authentic Saint Lucian experiences to its guests. In celebration of Saint Lucia’s 39th Independence anniversary, Fond Doux Plantation established a hall of fame with noted Saint Lucian icons i.e. Sir John Compton, Honourable Allen Chastanet, Dame Pearlette Louisy, Sir Derek Walcott, Sir Arthur Lewis, Gregor Williams, Lord Glenconor Colin Tenant, Stephenson King, Dr. Kenny Anthony, Chef Nina Compton, Levern Spencer, Daren Sammy, Sesenne Descartes and Coco Charles.
The Lamontagnes expect 2018 to be an exciting year as they will be adding five cottages, and more developments will unfold in the coming months.
