French National dies after shooting at Augier

Vieux-Fort police have launched an investigation into the death of 33-year-old Pierre Charles Pedron, originally of Martinique, who was shot about 8:50pm on Friday the 4th of February, 2011, at Augier,Vieux-Fort.

Reports indicate that on the aforesaid day, Pedron and 37-year-old Raymond Williams a.k.a “Gooray” of Augier were walking in the direction of a nearby supermarket, when four masked men approached them and fired several shots in their direction, hitting them on various parts of their bodies.

They were both taken via ambulance to the St Jude Hospital where Pierre Charles Pedron was pronounced dead while Raymond Williams was admitted and remains in a stable condition. No one has been arrested in connection with this incident.
