Dr. Rigobert carries extensive academic prowess and practical experience in the areas of International Relations and Government. She holds a Phd in International Relations from the University of the West Indies, Institute of International Relations (IIR); Master of Philosophy in International Relations from the University of Cambridge; A Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations (Hons), University of the West Indies, Institute of International Relations (IIR); and a Bachelor of Science in Government (First Class Hons), University of the West Indies, Department of Government. Dr. Gale T C Rigobert has conducted research in a number of areas relevant to national development. This includes published work on technology and development. Her recent publications include ‘Bridging the Digital Divide’? and ‘Prospects for Caribbean Development in the New Techno-Economic Paradigm’.
In terms of work experience Dr. Rigobert taught for a number of years at the Corinth Secondary School. She performed the role of a Business Analyst/ Applications Developer, Tenfold; Abbey National – United Kingdom. She was a Visiting Fellow, SPRU, Science and Technology Policy Research, University of Sussex, UK. She lectured at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago for eight (8) years. More recently she served in the vital position as Advisor, National Development, Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and National Development to the Government of Saint Lucia.
