Thirty four goals were scored over the weekend in the third round action in the ECFH-LUCELEC Summer Football Fiesta being played at the Sab Sporting Facility.
On Saturday in the Under-11 Division in an eagerly anticipated match up, the two most impressive Academies in the tournament VSADC Youth Academy and Valley Soccer Academy squared off. VSADC reigned supreme. They remained undefeated with a 4-0 win over Valley Soccer Academy.
In another game schedule to take place on Field Two, NYAH won over Lancers by default.
In the Under-13 Division, Valley Soccer Academy ensured they were not out done when they defeated VSADC Youth Academy 2-0.
In the other game, NYAH over powered Lancers FC 19-0 in a very lop sided affair. NYAH totally dominated the game from start to finish.
Play continued on at the Sab Sporting Facility on Sunday. In the Under-15 Division, VSADC Youth Academy and Valley Soccer Academy played to a very exciting draw.
Mekhi Charles scored giving Valley Soccer Academy the early lead, only to have Shaquille Joseph equalize moments later for VSADC Youth Academy.
In the final game of the morning, NYAH easily got past Agard FC 7-0. Contributions for NYAH came from Montel Lionel with a double brace and one goal each from Ulrick Jackson and Damian Louis.
Play resumed on Monday with an Under-18 clash between VSADC Youth Academy and Valley Soccer Academy. It was a very exciting encounter with Valley Soccer Academy coming out on top 1-0.
Both teams fielded young players who earned first team honours in the recently concluded Castries Super League. Valley Soccer scored the first and only goal in the 20th minute, with Sebastien Rioux firing a left foot shot past the VDADC custodian.
