Grow Well Schools Quiz … What a finish!

It was a finish for the story books. Three of the six teams from the Gros Islet District tied and there was a double playoff after two teams tied again. When the dust settled on this exhausting competition among amazingly bright primary school children, these were the results: 1st place – Bonne Terre Preparatory, a first time winner in this 13-year competition; 2nd place – Grande Riviere, and 3rd place – Montessori Centre.

Grow Well went all out for this important educational competition which is an annual event and a major highlight for Gros Islet’s primary schools in Grow Well’s 20th anniversary year of service to youth in the community. Outstanding prizes excited the overflow crowd of 150 invited schoolchildren, principals, teachers, parents, government officials and Grow Well supporters in the elegant VIP lounge of the Beausejour Players’ Pavilion at the Stadium. Prizes included Samsung tablets, Kindle Fire HD tablets and e-readers, smartphones and vouchers for two or four persons for fun tours and movies.

The major sponsor was the Rotary Club of Gros Islet, and other much appreciated sponsors included Caribbean Cinemas, Digicel, Lime, Rainforest Skyrides, Segway Tours and Therold Prudent.
