Homicide in Dennery Takes Death Toll to 65

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man near a popular waterfall in Dennery.

Police have yet to publicly identify the body but photos circulating on social media show the body of a dead man slumped in the drivers seat of a car with apparent gunshot wounds to the head.

This latest homicide takes Saint Lucia’s homicide count to 65 for 2023. The country in the last few years has grappled to cope with a spike in serious crime and gun related deaths.
