The homicide figures here in Saint Lucia continue to rise with the island this week having recorded the eighteenth homicide.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 50-year-old David Mondesir of Hewanorra Orchard, Vieux Fort. On Thursday, September 3, 2015 about 11:00 p.m. police discovered the body of Mondesir in the dwelling house of his girlfriend at Hewanorra Orchard, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
Mondesir, who was the owner of a supermarket in La Resource, was transported to the St. Jude Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
