Hot Couture attracts top designers

The ultimate fashion event will be held on May 7!

Claudia Pegus needs no introduction as one of SHE Caribbean’s favourite and most featured designers in the region.  Born in Palo Seco, Trinidad & Tobago, Pegus entered the fashion arena more than thirty years ago, and continues to be at the vanguard of Caribbean fashion innovation. The T&T based designers’ work has been shown and lauded internationally, regionally and locally at major fashion weeks for over three decades and she also works as an Industry Consultant to various regional trade organizations. Inviting Claudia to show at HOT COUTURE was a no-brainer, and her reputation for signature work in various types of silks and hand done embroidery is intrinsic in ‘Romancing the Stone’, the collection which will walk down the runway on May 7th at the St Lucia Tourist Board Jazz & Arts Festival event.

Claudia Pegus Designs Limited is the designer’s exclusive niche market design and production company which produces two labels: The Claudia Pegus label featuring haute couture lines, and the CPFS label which produces the ready wear and career apparel lines for retail and wholesale sales to boutiques, hotels, resorts and corporations. Fans and customers include Trinidadian, regional and international dignitaries, models, figures and celebrities including Nadine Willis, (veteran Gucci model), Caribbean Heads of State, British MPs, and life mentor Nelson Mandela.

‘Romancing the Stone’ showcases Claudia Pegus’ style of chic resortwear in a surprising blend of hard and soft lines and mixed textures; black tuxedo tailoring is worn with flowing, gathered white silk, and monochromatic white is embellished with subtle golden brocade and the texture of crochet or crisp cut-work.  SHE Caribbean is excited to welcome Claudia back to St Lucia for HOT COUTURE!

Call the St Lucia Tourist Board to book your tickets for the HOT COUTURE Fashion event or visit their website for more information. Tickets are available at the Tourist Board.
