The Dame is right. But the Office of the Director of Audit puts out a report on the missions almost every year highlighting several breaches but nobody cares to read let alone take action. The Missions have always been a place for repaying favours to party operatives who in most instances have no knowledge or experience in foreign policy/matters, The amount of money that the state pays to run those missions far out weight the amount they bring into the country by way of investment. The employees live off their foreign service allowances (since everything is paid for by the state down to the careless parking ticket)and save their basic salary at home. Its a scam I say.

shameful. St lucia is wasting so much money on foreign junkets to the detriment of the man on the street. Stop associating with rogue regimes and quit with handing out jobs for the boys. Shame on the SLP, shame on Kenny.

It takes no genius to figure that closing all those overseas country clubs and returning their personnel to St.lucia as well as getting rid of the office of GG would save this country a whole lot of money. For one should really objectively ask themselves does the end justifies the means. Are those position really helping the country or just serving as a parasite on its debt wound. I think the answer here is obvious. I need someone to tell me the real role of the GG, she is supposedly representing the queen but has she ever met the queen? how often does she and the queen communicate? I think this is a position of formality and the country can do without that formality expense.So before you…
