Based on the point standings released Thursday evening by the St Lucia National Netball Standings, Avengers, Shamrock B, Dynamic Fresh Ones and St Lucian Eagles, lead their divisions in the 2013 Independence Netball Classic.
In Division One Avengers are on top with a 3-0 win loss record for 15 points (pts) followed by YOLO Heats (11 pts), Elite Strikers (10 pts), Canaries United (seven pts), Soufriere (six pts) and St Lucian Eagles (three pts).
Shamrock B lead Division Two Group One with 18 pts, followed by Rising Stars and Atlantic Ballers each with 12 pts, Avengers have 11 pts; 1987 All Stars 10 pts; National Under-16 six pts; Ciceron Seagulls 0 pts.
In Division Two Group Two, Dynamic Fresh Ones are in first with 18 pts, followed by Shamrock A and St Lucian Eagles who both have 16, next is Toughest Dynasty 15 pts, Foundations 5 pts, Windjammers two pts and Young Stars United 0 pts.
St Lucian Eagles top Division Three with 15 pts, followed by SJC Egret 11pts, Toughest Dynasty, six pts and Unique-Fond Assau one pt.
In results from matches played Thursday in A Division Two encounter, Avengers defeated Shamrock B 33-20 while St Lucian Eagles won by default over Windjammers.
Three Division One and six Division Two matches are on tap for the weekend. All participating teams are urged to be on time for their matches. Failure to do so will result in the late team’s forfeiture of the match. The opposing team present on the court will be awarded a win (five points) by default.
