Avengers and St Lucia Eagles won their games during play in the St Lucia National Netball Association Independence Netball Classic (INC) on Tuesday at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.
In a Division Three encounter, Avengers made it look very easy in their 26-2 win Unique Fond Assau while in Division Two St Lucian Eagles soared high in their 48-9 win over Young Stars United.
Based on the revised fixtures for the 2013 Independence Netball Classic, 15 and 42 preliminary matches are scheduled for play in Divisions One and Two respectively and 10 matches in Division Three.
The INC is now at the halfway mark, with 34 of the revised schedule of 67 matches being played. The SLNNA is encouraged by the increase in spectatorship particularly in Micoud.
Following the Easter Break from March 27 to April 1, 33 matches are scheduled for play during the period April 2-16. Beginning April 20, all semi-finals and finals will be played at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.
